Paper,
in flight.
A few folds. A little lift.
A small study in making something
still feel alive.
Preparing the paper…
Origami crane · Interactive studyThree.js GSAP Folded geometry
The lovely thing about paper is how little it needs to become something else.
This started with a simple question: how much movement does a folded crane need before it feels like it could fly?

Each wing pivots along the body. Its triangular faces stay rigid, so the movement still feels like folded paper.
Rigid faces · moving hinges
The wings rise slowly, press down, then settle into a glide. The body follows with a slight delay and a gentle bank.
Wingbeat · lift · bank
A soft light catches the ridges. Slight differences between the faces let a handful of triangles read as a paper sculpture.
Flat facets · soft light
One more flight?
There is no destination. Just a little room to play.
